bidsmith · in private build

RFP in. Draft bid out.

Drag the RFP your client just emailed into BidSmith. AI TD reads it in seconds, maps scope by category — audio, lighting, video, streaming, scenic, power, labor — and queues a draft bid with the technical caveats a veteran tech would catch.

Built for sales reps + leads at AV / production shops who lose hours every week chasing techs for bid sanity-checks. BidSmith bakes a veteran’s judgment into the first draft, so the sanity-check happens before the bid goes out.

what you get

Why the bids come out right.

The shared corpus

BidSmith reads the same brain the AI TD does — venues, vendors, crew, past gigs, gear sheets, post-mortems. Your shop's institutional memory shows up in every draft.

A veteran's eye on every bid

BidSmith catches the gotchas a seasoned tech would flag before they cost you — access constraints, certification requirements, overtime triggers, union vs. non-union markets. The judgment that separates a winning bid from a costly callback.

Priced for your market

Your bid is informed by the wider market — and your numbers stay yours. You never see another shop's quote, and no one ever sees yours.

Citations on every dollar

Every labor line cites the CBA rate-card source page. Every gear line cites the vendor + day-rate range. No mystery numbers — defensible by line item.

design partner program

First five shops get free access for 90 days.

In exchange for real bids. You drop your actual RFPs into BidSmith for 90 days, we use the feedback to sharpen the bid logic, and you get free access through general availability. No sales calls during the program — just real work + honest critique.

common questions

Quick answers.

Does the sandbox extraction get saved anywhere?+
No. The sandbox is sandboxed. The /api/demo/extract endpoint parses the file, runs Haiku, and returns the result — nothing is written to a database. Inside the app (auth’d), extractions persist as `rfps` rows you can convert into bids.
What models does it use?+
Haiku 4.5 for extraction (fixed schema, bounded input — fast + cheap). Sonnet 4.6 for the bid generator (composes the actual line items + caveats reasoning). Cost telemetry written per call.
Will it work with our shop's CBA?+
That’s the design-partner conversation. The labor cost engine resolves rate cards from a `cba_rate_card` table. We load yours on onboarding. If you’re a union shop, the major regional master agreements are already in.
How does this compare to a CRM?+
BidSmith isn’t a CRM. It’s the bid-prep workflow that produces something you paste INTO the CRM (or your existing quote tool). Future versions push directly to Lasso, Flex, R2 — but we don’t replace your pipeline of record.
